Unfortunately, he was asked to leave on the morning of the Wedding as his room was required by "important wedding guests arriving from London".
The Pub owned by the Estate but run by tenants, were unaware that they were throwing out the Best Man.
They called us and we were able to accommodate him. As he was leaving for the wedding we gave him a key and said it didn't matter what time he got in and joked "as long as he was back for breakfast".
Next morning he arrived back at 10.30am looking forward to his breakfast after staying overnight at the Port Eliot Estate. Well that's a first!. |
